Windows 11 Cannot Access Samba Shares

Run gpedit.msc

Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Network > Lanman Workstation Open Enable insecure guest logins, set it to Enabled, Apply

Alternative: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanWorkstation\Parameters 

create or modify DWORD value named AllowInsecureGuestAuth and set it to 1.

On the server side: sudo vi /etc/samba/smb.conf

under map to guest = bad user

guest account = nobody

server signing = desired

server min protocol = SMB2_10

server max protocol = SMB3
